yes absolutely welcome. this is a positive board environment where we all respect one another even when we disagree (and it happened many times). you can't get any better than this board when it comes to positive gaming discussion and general debate

Good hunts last night, though I feel bad for making you guys do "lowly" 4 star quests. I'ma get that HR up to 40 as soon as I can (though tonight I'm busy).

Paleo, I told you to wait on the Gobul quest for a reason. You can fish him out of the water in area 4 with a frog bait. That way you complete the 1st side-quest and you can get some good whacks on him, and get him out of the water for a while.

I know I haven't been playing with you guys (I have a few friends I play with now, we've been going crazy trying to rank me up in particular), but in case the opportunity does indeed arrive, my HR is 33 now.

Oh dear gawd... I fear the Deviljho... that thing is... it made me nearly wet myself the first time I ran into it (my friends are already familiar with it lol). Dear gawd.

dude that guy is a jerk and I really don't appreciate his attitude. It's simply not fun to play with him so I have all the rights to leave.

I am not trying to be a drama queen and that's exactly why I left. I knew that it was a bomb about to explode.

Then he said "oh I soloed Ala etc." and I was thinking to myself "in other words you really don't need my help. bye!"

I ended up playing World Eater, connected with an old silly friend of mine and had a BLAST!, we farmed bird gems (a PAIN IN THE ASS), grinded the events, and got a few other things,

I am not in the process of getting all the weapons in the game. starting with the lance

It seems that I'm back playing high rank quests though. playing low rank made me sloppy cause there is no way in hell monsters can kill you so you get used to play renegade style. not that I play high rank stuff I'm back to being more careful and attentive.

please don't be upset at me. I feel bad not helping because of a grudge. but when you play with someone you dislike the whole mood goes down the drain and it's not fun anymore. I am definitively don't play to be agravated and will leave immediately if i am in a city with douches with no shame

Everybody this is my brother-in-arms Mark. We've practically grown up together in game. He's the first user I registered on my friends list back when I first wet my toes in online MP. Oh, and speaking of which, it has to be said that I wouldn't have played this game nearly as much as I have if it weren't for it's great online interface. I don't know how they did it but Capcom hit a home run with this one (even if its server craps on itself every now and again). Makes me wonder why Nintendo insists on using Friend Codes.

what you didn't see is his private comments that stated "oh yeah I just soloed Alatreon" to which I replied "of course" and other stuff to which i thought "this is not worth it..."

I'll try and stay on next time and keep my grudges on check. sorry for my childish behavior but I hope you understand I have very little patience

Haha, no, the entire time Anand and I were saying "man, Fabz would've been awesome here, I wish he didn't leave." No, it f'n sucked, and I don't even feel like playing for an entire week. I've never had my ass handed to me so fast/disappointing (or seen Anand get rolled so fast either). I never talk like this, you can sense my frustration then? I was healing every twenty seconds. And whetting every minute.

And no, I didn't see any private stuff. I don't think he was saying he solo'd the thing as a means to rub it in your face or anything. You have beaten him, Chack has beaten him, Anand and I have not. He told me he solo'd it and I was like "whaaaat," not "you're such a jerk!" If you come in on the defensive, everything is going to sound sarcastic or whatever. I've never seen Chack be mean to anyone. Even when you claim he was being mean (way back when), I took it as too dudes horsing around with each other. And you guys were both "out of it" by your own admission. I was the only sober one there, man. Gosh, that was forever ago.

Fabz can be quite emoshunal sometimes (and I do mean shun). Can't we all get along people, it's just a video game.

No, I think he was just telling Mustache and I that he solo'ed the Alatreon. I don't think it was addressed to you. You had come into the room while he was already typing.

I don't know what happened with you guys before, but he really is a pretty nice guy. He doesn't mind playing with lower-level people, and he always defers the quest choice to others and gives lots of advice. Plus, he doesn't take any items out of the item box!

Anyway, like Mustache said, we got absolutely MURDERED by the Alatreon. Three strikes. Nine, I guess. Blegh. Demoralizing. And it all took place at, like, four in the morning. Double blegh. I've never even seen that thing before. I kind of never want to see it again. At least until I have better armor.

As far as Ala. I think he's way easier than Jho. his moves are very predictable and easy to dodge. Jho, on the other hand, is a though bitch. Today i fought Jho for the first time with a Lance (i'm a hammer person).

If you need Ala advice let me know

How do you avoid that stupid pounce move? Is it blockable? He pounces on me once, and then right when I'm getting up, he pounces again. And then I die.

Have you guys been keeping up with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd news? It just got released in Japan. Sold over 2 mil in its first week. That's CRAZY for Japan. It's, like, their entire population.

Are we playing today? I can do it all.night.long. if I want to.
