spoilers:
actually ian "events" have more chance for rubies... otherwise yes. the hr51 double trouble is good as both ian and rath are very easy in that quest (half HP too). ian is predictable, very predictable
bird gems are a PAIN (not as much of a pain as agn claws+ or jhen+ stuff) but i needed 8 of them to complete some weapons (sleep lance "azure something") and 3 armors... nightmare... just do jump for jaggi. capture one or both. hope for ultra lucky cat food skill... you'll get some quick
as of now, i think gunner or blade uragaan (best for defense - made for hammerers & gunners) , ian+( great set for newly high rank folks who are grinding uragaan), ingot (perfect vs. ian's wind), vangis (for attack, expert players who want quick fights)) , and barioth (evade. grreat 4 lance folks)) are the essential/best sets. i also like damascus
jaggi, baggi, giggi, agn (a joke), yamato, ranger, guild (yuck), diablos (besides when used against agn mixed with urag), rath (just eat and drink cold drink), lagi (was the most popular... just use ala or equip vs. caedus), alatreon (if only it had wide range...), and especially gobul sets are worthless
helios is good for wide range.. but that's it
I also like the hunter+ set. love the thrill
