Good hunts last night, I think we came pretty close to nabbing the Deviljho twice but alas even 15 tranq bombs could not suppress him. I definitely wanna give it another shot this week, maybe Thursday?

But you guys have to bring Barrel Bomb L+s!! And stuff to make more! And traps! And stuff to make more! The Deviljho must be cheesed. Every tactic only works once, except for traps, it seems. Put it to sleep, bomb the head. Paralyze it, bomb the head. Trap it, bomb the head and whale away. Flash bomb... you get the idea. And always stay at Max Health, so he can't one-shot you.

Plus, Tranquilo probably needs better armor to fight Big D.

Anyway, the amount of Tranq Bombs doesn't matter. If he's ready, two should be all you need. Best thing to do is throw 2, and then whale away at his head to try to weaken him.

GODDAMMIT, if I had ONE Rathian Ruby, I could injure him when he goes red!!

How come when I place bombs they don't explode? Sometimes he would just walk right over them and nothing. Yeah I need to take a better approach, I never thought of bringing ingredients to replenish bombs and traps mid-quest but that's a great idea.

Why didn't you say "we want to hunt a DJ!"? I would've ruined my night for that!

The Large Barrel Bombs don't go off on their own; you need a Small Barrel Bomb to set them off. Its..difficult.
I guess the best option is to set a trap near some bombs, and then have the small one ready as soon as he saunters in.

Yea, better armor is a must. I had been holding out for specific sets but I might need a placeholder if I'm going to face monsters like jho.

Once I saw this player set bombs with stones, maybe you should try that tactic. I imagine it might be easier.

No, every time I'm on I want to try it, and Anand complains endlessly and makes me do the Rathian for a 3rd/4th time. I would've LOVED to run that thing twice last night. We probably would've won!!...TWICE!!

Congrats people! I knew were were getting close but I was working at the time Paleo had posted first on the famed page 100. This community rocks. Game time has decreased big time for me because of work until xmas.. It's Also December 1st! Anyone that is at a higher HR ranking then what is posted above please give me a shout... I do my best to catch updates as I'm a lurker here on this thread but I do miss stuff.
