I played a bit last night (before you got on, Anon...by 10:30pm I was too tired to play any more). Anyways, it was fun. I'm up to HR 10 now and doing the 2 star quests.
I've been playing more single player this weekend. Got my ass kicked by the Lagiacrus (second time I'm fighting him).
Anyway, I've been reading and watching some guide videos on YouTube and I realized that even after 50 hours of play time there's still a ton that I don't know about or use. These include using certain combos with the hammer, using flash bombs effectively, and using different armor and skills for specific enemies. I already knew to use the leather armor set when gathering, but I didn't think to use jewels to gain better gathering abilities.
@canonj Yeah, there is a lot of depth to Monster Hunter. Choose your armor wisely and try to maximize your skills by equipping gems and a talisman. The Lagi is pretty tough, he is on the cover of the game, so he better be tough right?
