amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. @Mr_Mustache Unless it's a special edition, amiibo stocks have been plentiful. GameStop likes to create the illusion of scarcity to get people to pre-order.

For Callie and Marie, I just pre-ordered. I'm on days this week, so I wouldn't be able to get out early. I'm not taking any chances this time, since I'm still looking for Lucina. I have someone in Hong Kong who will keep an eye out though, so here's hoping.

Don't sweat it, if I want to break down, I can order online. Mostly, I've been checking the usual places because you never know. Part of the thrill of Amiibos is the hunt.

Wow, I'm surprised ya'll havn't been posting about the currently released amiibos! I just picked mine up. The Super Mario series second release amiibos are really cute.Got all of them: Daisy, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Waluigi, Wario Rosalina and...wait for it...drumroll please.....Glow in the dark Boo!!! Man, he is really cool in glow form.

Who all else picked these up? Also, I have all three Zelda series amiibos preordered already. They release Dec 2nd: Ocarina of Time Link, Wind Waker Link and Zelda Combo & 8-bit style Link.

I will be getting a few of them, Boo and Daisy most definitely.

I'm not very interested in the latest batch of Mario amiibo, though that is a cool idea to make the Boo glow. Makes it a little more special since Boo is pretty plain-looking.

I'll probably grab one of the 8-bit Link ones at some point, but that's the only one of the recent ones that interests me.

I'll certainly update the thread when I have the free time to do so, but I was able to take a picture of my newest amiibo… all seven!


Here's the kicker, I only had to pay $33.03 for all of those. Amazon totally did me a solid! It was some months back that I noticed the situation… I had pre-ordered all seven on June 14th when they were first available to. Weeks later I saw my order had some unique qualities. For some reason, Amazon said my Donkey Kong, Daisy, Rosalina, and Boo were all $0.00. The Wario, Waluigi, and Diddy Kong were only $10.39. I understood the latter… there being a discount and all for pre-ordering through Amazon. So I saved 20% on those. But the other four… what was going on? In the end, I let it ride out to see if it would ever correct itself but low and behold I was only charged the low price for all of them. Today, over seven e-mails, I was told about the savings I had. Something must have happened with the pre-order price guarantee and I was privy to a price reduction of 100% on four of my seven amiibo. What a stellar deal!

EDIT- Ugh, YES, 4 new 30th Anniversary LoZ figures came out 3 days ago. Noooooo..

They do look pretty good. They're still going in and out of stock on Amazon so keep checking!

I got the retro Link at GameStop, no problem. I looked at the OoT Link and the WW set and I must say that the level of detail of amiibos has definitely gone up. 0 derpiness given.

I got the bunch at Amazon.ca after a restock. Even though I missed out on it initially, I didn't worry about finding them since it's not like they weren't going to restock those.

Where the fuck is my goddamned Bayonetta amiibo :|

This was rumor I think? But Smash would get a Switch port and they'd keep it for when that version is out.
