@plootI'm only on the second level, but if you've played past Kirby platformers and have enjoyed them, you will enjoy this one just as much. Return to Dreamland is still the gold standard, but for a portable with flawed controls, this game is super fun. The music is delightful, the colors pop, and the power-ups are a joy. It's the Kirby magic reborn. The hypernova gimmick is kind of lackluster, but it doesn't detract from the merriment at hand and the puzzle-ish elements help it feel more needed than not. And yes, the game is easy, as all Kirby platformers are, but it's not any more so than others in the series and isn't a mark against it. Those that complain about the difficulty just don't know what Kirby platformers are all about, and should just stay away if all they're interested in is a challenge. Kirby is about so much more. Oh, and I just took my dog for a walk, and whilst doing so found myself humming one of the new songs from the first world. Good stuff. The Kirby songs of old have returned, and they're a treat to be sure. If only the controls were... |
