Been playing the demo a lot, both in single and local multi. If a second player presses start, they can simply join in or drop-out! It's very streamlined in that way. Not only that, players don't have to pick captains: Everyone gets every power!
I found the game to actually be very different from Pikmin. Pikmin had less of an incentive to relax and explore, and a lot more pressure to find food / rescue your teammates, and once that pressure was lifted, the game's over. W101 has time-grading within missions, but allows you to do whatever between them, smashing obstacles, recruiting civilians, finding power-ups, &c. |
