Happy Thanksgiving to our American listeners and Happy November to everyone else! We've got just the audible treat for those with some free time this weekend! It's episode 95, Mall Lemmings! Inside you'll start with Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) discussing what they've been playing as of late. Joe just wrapped up Chibi Robo: Zip Lash. Learn how he found a way to enjoy it! Then he describes how he's enjoying the co-op mode in the Wii U hit, Yoshi's Woolly World. Lastly, It was a bit too premature to discuss some Pokemon Sun and Moon but Joe does have quite an intriguing tale to tell regarding his midnight launch for the game.

Afterwards, Stephen divulges more about what draws in him into Paper Mario: Color Splash now that he's really had his time to sink his teeth into it. He's also been playing some Picross 3D Round 2… probably a good thing for a Picross-maniac like him.

The duo discuss some quick My Nintendo woes before taking a quick break. Upon their return, the guys tackle this week's main topic. "Making Time For Gaming In Your Adult Life". How do they manage it? How could they manage it better? Despite their struggles, the guys managed to schedule a full length episode and they hope you enjoy!

Nice! I will, as usual, listen to the first 10 minutes before pausing it to "come back to later" and never return. BUT I will surely enjoy that 10 minutes as I always do with these podcasts. :)

Thanks for putting in the work! I know it isn't easy producing these. (And actually, I've been feeling particularly unwell lately so maybe I will actually listen to the whole thing while I'm trying to rest up.)

I hope you'll hear the whole thing! I was particularly engaged in Joe's tale of his Pokemon midnight launch, which happens right in the middle of the show. So there's some incentive there I hope to dive in deeper.

It's very late, and I worked a ton today, but I did want to mention that I really loved this episode. I actually listened on Wednesday. I honestly have a bunch to comment on from this episode, but I'll put that off for the moment. I really need to get to bed. Super great episode! I will elaborate later.

One quick note. Joe's Pokémon team should totally be called Steel Team Six.

Alright, a few thoughts on the podcast. First of all, I'm super glad to hear that Joe came around on Zip Lash. Not necessarily because I have any special affinity for the game, but I simply like people liking things more than disliking them. There's nothing more off-putting than the few podcasts I've tried that seem to revel in hating things. I have little patience for those types of shows. And boy am I itching to get and try Color Splash. I came very close to picking it up at the recent B2G1 sale at Target, but a rare dose of fiscal responsibility came over me and I got no new games then. I do hope to get it soon, though.

I loved Joe's midnight Pokemon adventures! It really made me miss those few midnight events I've been to years ago, from Halo 2 to the launch of the Wii. All great times! The details from the same-shirt guy to the trek to the car are all wonderful flavor to a fun story. Stories like these are also what makes me really enjoy the host-only shows. As awesome as the guests always are, there's an odd comfort in just listening to the two of you chat. And a random note. My daughter has gotten several solicitations from RIT. While it may not be likely she ends up there, perhaps a campus visit is in order?! I'm sure I can find ways To stay busy in Rochester.

The main topic about finding time to play really struck a chord with me. It seems like I barely play any games at all nowadays, especially this time of year. My main gaming is playing the streetpass games every couple of days, which is something I can do even when I don't tag with strangers because I routinely carry three 3DSes on me. I know, I know, I'm crazy. At best, especially lately, I'm lucky to get 2-3 hours of tv time a week. Occasionally a game will get its hooks in me and I'll actually carve out some time to play, but that seems to be getting rarer and rarer. I've actually questioned if my heart is actually still in gaming, but it definitely still is, especially with Nintendo. Nearly all of my gaming passion filters directly through Nintendo. Oh, and backlog? I know from backlog!



Will I get to even half these games? Who knows? Eventually I'll try my best. And I'll keep getting more, like a fool. Bring on the Switch!

Well, as always, super awesome great podcast. As long as you fine fellas are yapping, I'll be listening!

We're definitely not that kind of show. With Mighty No. 9 I found ways to love it and while I haven't turned over a new leave on Zip Lash, Joe's change in tune has inspired me to go back to it myself and keep up the attempt.

Your backlog… wowzers! I think I'll have to make a list of my backlog and start working on it like a schedule. It's not nearly as immense as yours but it's there. Steam is an easy backlog to create because it all hides in 0-space.

Perhaps the Switch will change things for you in the sense that your home console games will be able to be on the go. I have no idea if the Switch will have Streetpass but I really hope it does. I liked that whole business.

Yea, I'm glad I came around on Zip Lash too. No one likes having a game they aren't into in the collection, do they!? I also like having a "positive" gaming outlook. But really, I feel like DocF and I are mostly just reasonable. We certainly say when we don't like things. But I believe we come off as positive because the general gaming media landscape is so pre-occupied with "worst game ever!" shock value. blerg to that!

You should totally visit RIT with your daughter!!!! You should PM me about it. It would be fun!

Host-only shows ftw! I like having guests. But sometimes it's just easier w/ DF and I -- we got a good flow going.

That is indeed quite a backlog! Remember, even if modern gaming ever totally loses its spirit, you still have that monstrous backlog and all the games you know and love to keep your gamer heart happy! ........... at least that's what I try and tell myself
