The third installment in the Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior franchise by Enix.
Unlike
Dragon Warrior II which was set chronologically later in the series, Dragon Warrior III is actually set years earlier than
Dragon Warrior in an altogether separate world. The wicked Baramos threatens to destroy the world but will first have to contend with a Hero (male or female -- choose your own adventure!) and his three friends. Picking up another party-member (up to four; just three in the previous game), an exciting class-change system (as well as the ability to have a bunch of different characters and classes waiting in the wings should one of your four require a rest, or the situation calls for someone else), and day-night progression, Dragon Warrior III expands upon the strong foundation already built.
With many tools at his/her disposal, the Hero of the story will have several odds to overcome; the payoff the ultimate honor.
