The second installment in the Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior franchise by Enix.
One hundred years after the first
Dragon Warrior game, the evil wizard Hargon attacks Moonbrooke Castle setting a number of events in action. Enter the Prince of Midenhall, a descendant of Erdrick. With the help of the Prince of Cannock, and later the Princess of Moonbrooke, Dragon Warrior II is the first game in the series to offer a party-based system, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Another first for the series comes when a ship is introduced, one allowing them to travel farther in their quest to collect five crests, and assemble the Charm of Rubiss.
