*THE DEMO IS A DEMON, JUST GET THE GAME!!*Welcome to the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate thread! This will be our headquarters for coordinating our Hunts, sharing stories of war, and helpful hints for our brothers-in-arms, compatriots, friends, and neighbors. Please be mindful of folks' different definitions of "spoilers," and remember that not EVERYBODY played Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, though everybody totally should've. The "burden" of running this thread has been placed upon me but...I can't do it alone. I will lean on Maxi and others to help with the heavy lifting occasionally, both in planning things and also in feeding this thread. Please keep it bumped (once we get going). If you could, let us know if you're getting this game, WHEN you're getting this game, and what your aspirations are so we can get us situated in groups with likeminded people. Do you want to barely play this game? Is this going to be your new #1? The most fun with this game is had when you get to go out with a group of guys week in week out, so if we can find someone with a schedule similar to yours, you'll have the most fun with it. @ShadowlinkDidn't you guys get that awesome SNES Controller thing? We get WASHCLOTHS. Jerk.@anon_mastermindIs that how most people think? I really don't know. When I buy games, I have them forever. I wouldn't sell mine either!@vids@ludist210I believe it is only LOCAL Wi-Fi, yes. Which..unless you have brothers or REAL-LIFE FRIENDS, I guess you better LOVE single player Monster Hunter if you're going to get the 3DS version, right? Or is it a City Folk / Wild World type of deal where you can do single player on the run? Thats how I understand it..right? |

@missypissyDoubtful, and it'll probably be awful. Demos are..very dangerous misrepresentations.
Monster Hunter Tri was THE BEST game I played on the Wii, and the Demo was THE WORST I've ever handled.
Not that the demo was BAD, its just that it wasn't "MONSTER HUNTER," it was "here is what you'd be like if you weren't you and you were this guy with this weapon and armor set -- and don't bother carving / killing anything, because the stuff you collect can't be used again, and you can't play with your friends, and nothing counts.."@Pokefreak911Dude, there isn't a whole helluva lot of awesome stuff on the US one either.
I don't even know offhand what I've cashed in points for on there?
I think I got Nikki a Star Totebag or something. What else is there; posters?? |

@Pokefreak9113DS game case?? I don't even have a 3DS!! USELESS.
Those buyable games; I already own all of them on cartridge, or don't care about them. PASS.
What else do we have.. Screensavers, Grill-Off with Ultra Hand (..), notebooks, handheld pouches, A FAN, shoelaces, history of handhelds collectible cards (trade with your friends!..), Giant Mii AR Card, greeting cards (M&L or Nintendogs), Wii remote holders (no thanks, I have drawers), WASHCLOTHS, Kirby Epic Yarn iron on patches, posters, pen cases, Wii Remote Straps of different colors, playing cards, an honestly generic looking T-Shirt oldschool Mario (though I think Roy bought one..I dunno, I don't think I'd spring for it..BUT WHAT ELSE IS THERE??), Stylus cases, HANAFUDA CARDS, and Game & Watch stuff.Wow, where does the line start?(I apologize if I just depressed anyone..) but this, THIS: ..IS LIKE THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. I'd buy MORE games JUST to get this. *SIGH*
COME ON AUSTRALIA, BUCK UP.
EDIT- NEVERMIND, I can just buy one for 70 bucks on eBay, and pay shipping from Japan. NICE... |
