I'm gonna answer some questions Stache PMed me here.

I have done no quest offline yet, though that's next. I stopped playing last night when I had done the requirements to get the hunting camp, or whatever it's called.

I only have basic armor. Whatever the 1500 I started with allowed me to buy. I'll dig into the weapons and armor more tonight.

I have collected a bunch of crap. I know how to combine items and make Mega Potions.

Haven't been online yet.

I bought a Wii Speak minutes ago ($15 at HMV! I wanted to suprise stache with a Wii Message tonight, but now that's ruined...).

I'm not sure at what time I can be on. I'm seeing a play tomorrow which could end late.

How many Quests do you think we're good for? Gui, you should definitely try to get one or two Quests done tonight so you can see how they work. I mean, its not rocket science, so if you go in 100% fresh tomorrow night, thats fine, I guess. I wouldn't do it, but yeah. You get money from Quests, too. Thats your income source. The Woods don't get you Money, but rather Resource Points.

Uhhh, oh! And I don't know if you know, but pretty much every quest (early on, at least) is Offline as well as Online. So the stuff you'd do tonight, you'd do tomorrow on a larger scale. Is the entire Moga map open to you yet? Like, 14-15 areas?

@Mr_Mustache Heh, yeah, I love to hate the Diablos too. It is one of the few that kick my ass on a regular basis, but it's just so badass. Best roar of all the monsters too. And I love this picture of the black variation:

Well, I didn't play that much last night. Just enough to mine for the first time. I hope I won't slow you guys down too much.

I made my new character last night. Mikey999. You can use a new character on an existing online profile, that's nice.

Going with lance (I purchased the bone lance immediately for 1100z). Fiddled around with it a bit, and it feels good, though I'll have to get used to the "dodge" which is just a backstep really. I'm so used to dodge rolling all over the place with Sword n Shield.

Gui you can send voice messages to friends over the Wii speak channel (did you get a download code?).

I don't know, I didn't check the manual.

I'll be using the great sword, because it's all I know so far.

You'll be swatting us all with your great sword. But whatever.

Yeah, I started a new profile, and then I remembered that every profile had three characters. That's SIXTEEN characters! Not too shabby.

Lance is weird. So slow once it's drawn. But the defense is awesome. And I know there are a ton of advanced techniques that Chack used to use, like one where you charge and then run something through, essentially.

Wait. Does that mean we need new Codes from you guys? When you go online (have you tried?), how does it work? I was able to click on my Mustache Online Profile and everything was retained.

--Oh yeah, Chack was really good at Lance, too. Forgot about that! He was a Sword N Shield guy for a long time, too.

2- Why is there a barred "mic" icon? i.e. How do I activate Wii Speak?
