A few days after Santa gives you some presents... It'll be time to take some yourself on Nintendo Switch. SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition is the definitive version of the game coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on December 28th, 2017.
At $19.99 USD, you'll be able to shoot, sneak, and strategize through the procedurally generated stages with that awesome Steam Powered Giraffe soundtrack once again. If it's your first time, this is surely the best time to jump in. SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition sitting right next to your SteamWorld Dig 2 icon!
Don't know how widely known this is, but Heist is set after SteamWorld Dig 2 even though it was released first. So if you're done digging but haven't tried Heist yet, jump aboard! The included DLC has a highly relevant Dig 2 character.
I really enjoyed Heist on the Wii U. I kinda love the San Diego based robot band too, Steam Powered Giraffe, who play new songs and new versions of their songs throughout the game.
The 3DS version was bloody fantastic, so I might double dip on this. What's so ultimate about this edition, though?
It includes the DLC character and their small number of extra levels and has touch controls. Don't know if I'd double dip but I'd recommend a ... first dip to anyone. :)
I played this on 3DS and then again on PS4 so not sure if I’m ready to play through again. Though I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played yet, it’s excellent in every way and the music is fantastic! I still sing the songs to myself every now and then when I’m in the shower or doIng the dishes.
@r_hjort The DLC actually adds quite a lot of contemt. A new playable character, extra dialogue and story missions related to that character, new weapons, and even some new hats.
But yeah it was $5 back in the day, it wasn’t a huge expansion. Maybe not worth a full $20 if that’s all your interested in.

Ah yes, there are some new weapons and items. And the new character's Vectron skills are powered quite differently too which is cool.
