You know, it wasn't until years after this game released that I realized 2 facts...
A. This wasn't even the original Super Mario Brothers 2 (available on
Super Mario All-Stars for SNES and now Virtual Console,) it was just a game called Doki Doki Panic that was brought to the US with Mario characters.
B. A lot of people disliked this game for breaking from the excellent formula of the first, and consider it one of the black sheep of the series.
Hell, I don't care, I loved it! I even dressed up as a Shy Guy for Halloween once...
