Lufia: The Legend Returns is the third game in the Lufia series, taking place 100 years after the events of the first game (Lufia and the Fortress of Doom) and 200 years after the second (Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals). It is also the first game to appear on handhelds, releasing back in 2001 for the Game Boy Color.
