Unique, inventive action-adventure game that takes place in the fictional Blue Ridge City and surrounding areas as a number of environmental disasters, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis take place. Gameplay consists of exploring various "stages" while rescuing survivors in various minigames like Trauma Center-esque wound bandaging and putting out fires, as well as fighting off terrorists threatening to set off a nuke in lightgun shooter-esque gunplay sequences. There are also driving sequences from time to time, that involve turning the Wiimote on its side and using it as a steering wheel. With a heavily Metal Gear Solid-inspired storyline and a Hollywood movie-like progression through the game, Disaster: Day of Crisis is a welcome addition to the Wii's library... if you don't live in North America.
