Western sandbox RPG/FPS with a post-apocalyptic setting, developed and published by Bethesda in 2008. First main entry in the Fallout series since Fallout 2's release in 1998. Fallout 3 was a huge critical and sales success, and elevated the Fallout series to being a popular franchise worldwide, although it received some criticism from early Fallout fans for perceived issues with its writing and game balance.
