This is perhaps the best-received entry in the entire series. The most notable gameplay change was the addition of manuals, which allows players to link their combos across entire levels, and radically affected the overall game design. This also brought in a custom skater mode and custom level creator, which extended replay value leagues beyond what the original Tony Hawk game could offer.
