This sequel to the original Mass Effect was released in 2010 in North America and PAL regions. Unlike the first game, Mass Effect 2 downplays its RPG elements in favor of feeling more like a standard cover-based third-person shooter, although conversations still take a prominent role in the story. This game remains the most widely critically acclaimed game in the series.
