Developed and published by Konami in 2002. Directed by Nobuya Nakazato, this marked the return to glory for the Contra series, following the poorly-received Playstation games developed by Appaloosa Interactive. This returns to the side-scrolling boss-focused gameplay established by Contra: Hard Corps for the Genesis, but presented with 3D graphics.
