I remember the first time I saw Mega Man 2. It was at a friend of a friend's during 5th grade? lunch, who lived right across the street from our school. Back then the idea of being able to select what boss you wanted to fight from the start of the game was a pretty radical notion, I'd never seen anything like it before. He played through Flash Man's stage, and it looked so badass, I knew I needed this game. The funny thing is, at the time, I thought every boss had the same stage. Imagine how shocking it was to later discover that every boss had his own unique stage!
I eventually got my hands on it and played through the entire game, loving every moment of it. It was one of the very first games I beat as a kid. Definitely one of my finest gaming memories.
