Discuss Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward in its
official discussion thread!
The sequel to
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (DS),
Virtue's Last Reward is the second game in what is now being called the "Zero Escape" series by Aksys. The game revisits many of the characters and plot lines from its predecessor.
With the jump to 3DS, the series has increased production values: the puzzle rooms are now modeled in real time, allowing players to explore them freely instead of jumping between preset angles. The puzzles include mini-games that use the 3DS gyro in ways that actually seem natural and intuitive. Additionally, the game's novel segments, every line of dialogue, even from the supporting cast, is fully voiced, and the modeled characters move their lips and bodies as they talk, adding some charm and energy to the lengthy conversations.
