THE BATTLES OF WORLD WAR II WERE NON-STOP MARATHONS OF ATTRITION ON THE SEA AND IN THE SKIES. NO SQUADRON HAS MORE KILLS THAN YOURS AND NO ONE IN YOUR SQUADRON IS BETTER THAN YOU. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL YOU THE SKY SHARK.Taito's vertical shooter on the NES (known as "Flying Shark" in the arcades and overseas). Operating like similar airplane games of that era (see also:
1942,
1943, etc.), players pilot a P-40 through five levels of action, cutting through waves of enemy planes, PT boats, tanks, and turrets. Each stage culminates with a larger, more menacing boss vehicle before you're able to rearm and refuel at a landing strip.
Upgrade your vessel by dropping groups of red planes and collecting the "S" powerup, expanding from two shots, to four shots, and eventually seven shots spread wide. In addition to your primary weapon, you also have bombs which wipe out a large area in a single blast.
SKY SHARK, RISKING IT ALL, FLIES INTO THE SWARM OF ONCOMING ENEMY ATTACKERS. IT'S HIS LAST CHANCE TO SAVE THE DAY...Out of 2 user(s) who marked the game in their log:
