Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium is the fourth installment in the Sega-based series. Regarded as one of the best RPGs of all-time, when 1,000 years later the story of the Algol system (as seen in Phantasy Star II) is concluded.
Classic turn-based battles return, and a steep reduction in difficulty shows up as well; the extreme challenge that Phantasy Star and particularly Phantasy Star II provides had been highly criticized.
Phantasy Star IV originally launched February of 1995 in North America.
