I'm really loving this. How this game's aesthetics compare to Fever's is a tough call for me, since Fever's mini-games are all seared into my brain as all-time classics. Part of me thinks that Fever did have more personality, but I'm deep into Groove and am loving it, laughing out loud, and slowly falling in love with its songs.

For me, the quantity here is making up for whatever real or imagined gap in production quality there might be. Idea, idea, idea. This series has always been sort of like a puzzle game that wants to teach you about rhythm, and this entry takes that even further with its side modes, as well as the rumored ultra-difficult modes I've heard about...

I've gotten five stars on every level of Beatspell. It had way, way more depth than I expected, though not quite as much as I let myself get my hopes up about later on—once you get used to the input mechanism, it's really just a super basic turn-based RPG. I loved it all the same, and probably put four or five hours into it alone.

I can't wait to play more!

I enjoyed the demo a ton, and the full game just came in at the library so hopefully will pick it up tomorrow!

I'm enjoying it. Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but I'm not as wowed by the minigames in this one as those of the DS and Wii games. Getting five stars on all the Beatspell levels is going to be a real challenge, I can tell.

Koovaps, Anand, my brother and I tried out the multiplayer, both cooperative and competitive. It's certainly something! I wish there were a bit more to it but it is fun.

I suppose this is my Game of the Year so far? It's not the most creative Rhythm Heaven, but it is the most comprehensive Rhythm Heaven. They really want you to walk away from this one having mastered rhythm, with its multitude of games and additional Perfect challenges. I don't think I need another entry in this series after this, unless they want to go crazy with a Lost Levels style game that gets into wacky time signatures or something.

I got every medal a week or two ago. Haven't played it much since; TV input lag is enough of an obstacle for me to not just throw it on on a whim. This is a portable mode only game. I think they basically redeemed themselves after Megamix though, and I can see myself coming back to this one just as much as Fever.
