amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. The Canadian boxes are exactly the same.

GAME.co.uk is up for any brits trying to get these! They specifically state NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING... but they have pre-order spots for Wave 4.. Wave 5... and Wave 6!

I'm going to keep an eye on them once the amiibo are out in case I could import a particularly hard one.

I secured a preorder for five of them. Does anyone want any of these? I will cancel what isn't claimed as this all is costing me a pretty penny.

Again, all these are japanese but remember that only matters for the box. The amiibo itself is not region locked nor does it have any physical differences from any other region. And the total cost per amiibo will be, $26.57 USD plus any shipping it takes to reach you. A little steep but may be worth it for your collection or desires.

Items would ship in July some time and once you commit to a purchase and it ships, I would expect you to honor it. I'll cut back anything not claimed by the end of the month or so.

Feel free to try and obtain them yourself which would save you on the additional shipping from my house.

I DON'T want to pay (well) over the price either. Even doing $20 for the Gold Mario made me cringe a little, though I understand that shipping isn't free, and I'm overjoyed that The Abester hooked me up.

Seems like it! I guess it will depend on the stock they ultimately get but I have one ordered, thanks for asking.

Due to EB Games Canada's ineptitude during Wave 4 preorders, they are cancelling a pile of people's orders.

When I log into my account, my preorders have disappeared. I think I'll be getting a phone call with bad news tomorrow, and I was third in line at my EB. They really screwed the whole thing up.
