My Nintendo link

The successor to Club Nintendo is finally here, and it seems like a solid improvement! The way it works is you can get three different types Coins through completing Missions.

Miitomo (blue) Coins are from using Miitomo. These apparently work as platinum coins as well.
Mushroom (platinum) Coins are from using My Nintendo itself regularly.
Star (gold) Coins are from purchasing eShop games.

(oddly, Gold seems to be more valuable than Platinum, which is why I'm wondering they didn't just go with Silver or something. But I digress)

You can then use your coinage for some choice rewards. Here's the full current list:

Lots of good stuff to offer, from discounts, VC games (including the first DS VC game on 3DS!), and even new software like Twilight Princess Picross!

I got 250 coins just from doing some basic stuff--signing into Miiverse and eShop (30 platinum apiece once a week), and linking my account to My Nintendo and Facebook. It's a solid starting point towards getting that sweet, sweet Picross game.

All in all, it seems like a good replacement. My only gripe--and it's kind of a biggie--is that it currently doesn't offer any reward for buying physical copies of games. Kinda stings.

Currently having to get rid of almost everything on my crappy phone because for some reason Nintendo thought it wise to make Miitomo massive in file size.

New system seems great and the website is designed very nicely.

EDIT: Nevermind, getting rid of almost everything still didn't give me enough space. Thanks Nintendo for making an accessible mobile app that everyone can use.

Ugh, same. Google Play doesn't seem to say how big Miitomo actually is, though, so I'm not sure how much I have to delete. EDIT: Says it's 31MB and I have 300+MB free but still won't download. So that's weird. But I deleted about 70MB worth of apps I don't use and now it's working.

On the Google Play store it told me it was about 60mb. Once you actually get it up and running though it downloads another 400+. It's absurd.

I was able to download it over LTE in like 10 seconds, installed and running, but have to wait until after work to really dive in.

EDIT: oh no now it's downloading a whole huge thing... still pretty fast, 50% after about a minute.

EDIT: wow the graphics look really sharp on my 6 Plus, I'm not used to seeing Nintendo's art-style this hi-res!

Yeah of course this releases the ONE (ok, second) time I ever go above my fucking data limit a week top early. Hopefully the shitty wifi at work actually works....

Is there even a way to add eachother on here? NW, my bro, and maybe the few FB people I expect would get this are the only users I could imagine using this with.

Yeah, Wario's on my "to get" list now.

A couple things to note:

-COINS EXPIRE! Sad but true. You have six months to use them up.
-Games expire too! Well, in the sense that they get removed from the eShop. WarioWare will only be up for a few months, so you gotta stay on top of getting your coins.
-There's a seeecret on the main My Nintendo page. See if you can find it!
