The end of August brings a fun and special episode of the Negative World Podcast! As per usual there's Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein), but unlike the last episode, there's plenty of guests this time! Stephen drove all the way to Joe's corner of the U.S. of A. in order to record this latest episode and with him he brought Erika (EponaEatsCarrots). Joe's Wife, Amy, makes four and the quintuple is rounded out by Negative World's own Lou (TheOldManFromZelda).

This episode primarily has a focus on Now Playing and general floating discussion, but all of it is wonderful! Games mentioned include, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, Pokemon GO, Pokemon Platinum, Fable, Pokemon Yellow, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Star Wars: Battle Pod, a Star Wars pinball machine, Cruis'n USA, WRC II Extreme, everyone's favorite Baseball games, Super Mario Maker, Road Rash 3, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, and even somehow classic dollhouses get mentioned. (Well, the mention of the Strong Museum of Play probably led that portion.)

It was a ton of fun to record and I hope it's a ton of fun for you to listen to!

Negative World's site owner and operator, Zero provides the intro and outro. There is no break music in this episode, but there is a brief visit from a surprise guest named Sab!

Ah, the internet - where creating drama around a topic inspires so much more activity than the topic itself.

Rob/Gwiz - I can't think of the last time either of you showed interest in the podcast.

Rob - PM me and we can talk it out like brothers.

@NinSage

I generally post in that thread, except when you guys are like "looking to record on a Wednesday night at 8, thats the ONLY time we can do it!" Happens all the time. I told Lou I probably sat here and played an iPad game for 14 hours while you guys recorded, like the 14 hours if iPad I played two days ago, on a Friday.

@Mr_Mustache

I mean the threads for the actual podcast - like this one. But I see you have PMed me so let us talk! It will be OK, I promise. =)

@NinSage

Sure, I'll just meet Fink next time he's in the area. *rolling eyes*

Well, this was definitely a remarkably great episode, mostly because it was a great reminder of the good times I had when I was able to visit Rochester and hang out with some of the coolest people I know. And holy crap, is that Museum of Play awesome!!! I could have listened to you guys chatting for hours. Though, to be honest, this podcast also bummed me out the most because of how much I'd like to get back out there and hang with the Rochester crew. So Stephen and Joe and Lou (and Sab!), thank you for the cool podcast, and special thanks to the fairer half of a couple of you, Erika and Amy! What a special treat indeed!

Also, Lou is the biggest PokeFan ever, confirmed.
Also, if only I had a smart phone to kill it on Pokémon Go while I work. Tech fail on my part, for sure.
Also, I still love the shout-outs, for real!

And big final also to Stephen. I imagine you had a great time in Rochester, because how could you not? But your trip was simply not complete without seeing Rob. That dude is something special, let me tell you.

@Koovaps

Glad you enjoyed the show Brandon! I knew that when I went to visit Joe, I had to record some kind of podcast. I was hoping to persuade Amy and Erika to join in since we hadn't had them on the show before. My trip to Rochester was pretty fun. It was quite quick though and hell, we didn't even play that much Nintendo. Still, it was a goal of mine this summer to pay visit to my friend Joe, who I not only feel is a Negative World or Nintemple friend, but a friend outside of all this as well. I didn't really look at this trip like a 'meet up' though I can see where it would feel like that. So to that effect I can see where Rob feels as he may. However, this wasn't some one and done kind of thing. I hope Joe and Amy come out to visit me soon and I hope to make another trip back to Rochester soon enough. It's not that long of a drive. I can drive right through Canada and barely drive North or South. Thus,….

@Mr_Mustache

While I don't know when I'll be in the area next, I'll try harder to be more inclusive! Now that Erika and I have seen where Joe and Amy live, spent time with our friends as we did, I will be sure the next one has a bit of a meet up feel, being sure to notify any NewYork-NegWorlders and perhaps even bringing some Windsor or other Michigan NegWorlders with me. Now THAT would be pretty damn cool.

This was a crazy ep of the NW Beercast!

I've also kind of struggled to get into Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. It's kind of growing on me, though. I can see that there's an elegant, score attack-based system there, but the moment-to-moment gameplay is certainly a bit too fiddly.

Loved all the Brando shoutouts. Koovaps can never get enough plaudits. What a guy.
