Since Dave didn't get to vote in any of the Super Smash Bros. Character Bracket, and since the Nintendo Switch hadn't been revealed yet, the gang discusses Super Smash Bros for Wii U in great length. Character comparisons, Character Roster theory, and a bit of history all wrapped into one package!
Negative World's site owner and operator, Zero provides the intro and outro. Music at the break is non-existent since there was no break. This was all live in the same basement-gamer-cave!
Yet another super great podcast! How in the heck do you guys keep doing it? I'll never know. Now, I must proclaim for all the world to know that Mario Bros. is a fantastic game! How dare you, Stephen? I genuinely love it. I basically play it as a time wasting high score platformer. I'll admit that I originally cut my teeth on the updated version in one of those GBA Super Mario Bros. games, but I have since played a decent amount on versions of the original and enjoy that as well. And beyond that, I actually find myself occasionally enjoying Ice Climbers as well. I totally understand the common complaints leveled against it, but I've found myself muscling my way through quite a few levels in the 3DS Ambassador version of the game. Sure it takes some patience and adjustment, but I'm up for that now and again.
Despite not taking part in the Smash Bros. brackets, I quite enjoyed you guys going through them. It made me really want to dive back into that game immediately! Also, love the score update on the Cubbies. GO CUBBIES!!!!!
Well, thank all of you guys for some fun listening. Thank you Stephen and Paul and Dave and special thanks to Erika and Trish. What can I say, ladies make everything better. And a final thanks to the sorely missed Joe. I can't wait for the next podcast and all that juicy Switch talk with special guest Anand. He makes everything better too!
Awesome job pulling out the Clown Man reference! "I'll see you in my dreams" indeed! I love MM8, but it's got some of the worst voice acting ever. That Dr. Light voice? ugh. It's like Elmer Fudd. The low self-esteem Astro Man? blerg.
