Alas we are now in fateful June and the E3 birds are singing their songs! E3 is almost near and for that the podcasters of Negative World are in full swing! This episode puts together Joe (Ninsage), and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) with their buddy Hendrik (Jargon) as they discuss Nintendo gaming and run through E3 predictions.

To start the gang gets another Yooka-Laylee Update from Stephen and then we hear Hendrik's thoughts on the upcoming Playtonic game. There's only a little over a week until the kickstarter ends so be sure to jump on it now if you haven't yet! Then Hendrik takes us down memory lane to the March Madness bracket he put on a few months ago. This one was based on third-party titles and we dive into how he put that together, the results, and what we learned about ourselves.

After that the group goes into Now Playing where they start by having Hendrik run us through the latest Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack (2) and discuss each uniquely wonderful stage. Then Joe brings Mighty Switch Force to the table as well as Steamworld Dig. Both of which he nabbed in the recent Nindie Bundle by Humble Bundle. Stephen rounds things out with none other than Splatoon.

Nintendo pulled a surprise Micro Nintendo Direct earlier last week so the crew dabbles into the little bit of news that brought us and then the guys dive in to an hour or so of E3 predictions pulled both from the internet and our own Negative World! We start off with more realistic ideas and then take on some more 'creative' ones.

Music for the episode is borrowed from Chibi Robo! The show's theme music is from Negative World site owner and operator, Zero.

Nice job getting this out so quick, Fink! Especially since there were technical difficulties at times.

Thanks Hendrik. There was definitely more editing than normal with this one but luckily I had those Splatoon amiibo challenges there to keep me company while I listened. Made the bulk of it easier. I was 95% done last night but had one hell of a lazy sunday morning.

Enjoy everyone! It's nearly 3 hours of NegativeWorld gaming goodness!

Hmm, the podcast doesn't seem to work within my iPhone Podcasts App.
I unsubscribed to see if it'd give it a boot in th'bum, but when I try to resubscribe from the link above I can't use the iTunes option (invalid address).

@ploot

Nothing at all? Not even old episodes?

@DrFinkelstein
I can find a smattering of older episodes but it can't seem to find newer ones.
To listen I simply used the direct download link above. Blahhh.

EDIT - I'm at just under an hour in, by the way. Good conversations so far!
Also, you can play Portal 2 using the Xbox controller.

Will do! As for your issue, I don't know.... in normal iTunes I can get the show. I don't know why the app would lie!

Great episode guys. I enjoyed the Mario Kart 8 track assessment most of all.

Another great episode, guys. Fun stuff all around. And Jargon was an excellent guest. I'm with everyone with Ribbon Road as the best new track, by far. And it was cool hearing talk about the March Madness brackets. That type of stuff on the boards is always fun and cool (even when I don't partake.) And E3 talk is always exciting. With only a few hours til the Digital Presentation, can't wait to see what hit and what didn't. As always, all your time and work is much appreciated Stephen and Joe and Hendrik!

After hearing you guys gush over Steam World Dig I decided to play the copy I got with the Nindie Bundle. Just beat it! Definitely a gem. I noticed it says "Game Saved" after the credits. Is there some reason to return to it after you've gotten all the power ups? I'm pretty sure I found every secret and mined every possible piece of ore too.

@Jargon

Awesome! Glad you liked it and devoured it so fast!

That's a good question about the save at the end. Maybe it's just there so that you could go dig for those things if you hadn't been so thorough on your first run through?

I'm thinking of starting it again on Wii U soon - see how the experience translates to the big screen. =)

As fate would have it, I was away from the Treehouse stream when they covered SteamWorld Heist. Anyone get a look at it? Look good??

@Jargon

Wonderful to hear! I love that game so much. There isn't really a reason to go back through on the same file if you've gone through everything you could.

@NinSage

Doooooo itttttt!

Lets remember that when I first played it on Mac Steam I beat it, then I beat it again THE SAME DAY in a speed run. Then I bought it on 3DS and beat it. Then I bought it on Wii U and beat it. It's fun every time. It looks glorious on Wii U. DOooooo iitttt! (and if you wanna focus on a speed run... heavily favor the drill and upgrades to support it).
