Yes. Played pretty well, too. The developer, Shin'en, does good work. I enjoyed their other games, such as Art of Balance, Nanostray, Nano Assault, and FAST: Racing League.
There's a free demo of the original on WiiWare. I liked the controls and gameplay - reminded me of the first Jax game - but something about the art turned me off. I was planning on getting the full game eventually.
So hard to tell quality of a 3DS game from screenshots! Ah, they always look terrible... Well, I mean, "more terrible" than they ever look actually running in motion on the system itself. :)
Why does it matter which system the game comes out on? Don't you own both?
Besides, it happens both ways. Metroid flips back and forth on where its sequels go. Same for Kirby, and very recently, Wario Land. Gotta go with the flow, I guess.
To be honest, I just kind of forgot about it. I never bought FAST, either. Or a couple of other promising/fun Wiiware games.
Buying a physical game without having the time to play it seems somewhat reasonable, since you can always sell it. Buying a digital game under the same conditions seems dumb.
Well, they're both dumb, really, but I like to support the industries that I enjoy.
