The recently announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be coming to a Wii U near you. Hideo Kojima and David Hayter, have announced that David Hayter will voice Big Boss EXCLUSIVELY on the Wii U version. Here’s what David Hayter has to say. “It’s great to be working with Kojima-San and Nintendo (Editor: this interview was done before the merger) once again in this new continuation of the Metal Gear Solid series. I have always believed that the Metal Gear games should have never gone to any other consoles other than Nintendo consoles.”
The Wii U version of the game will also sport Wii U-exclusive features besides voice acting by the veteran actor. The Wii U version will make use of the Gamepad in new and interesting ways. You can upload a picture of yourself and speak through the mic in the gamepad to other players as if you were talking through a codec (Editor: interesting since the codec was yet to be invented). There will be shootable Yoshi’s throughout the game and other as of yet revealed features. Stay tuned for more.
