Nintendo Power is finished, but the soul still burns. A group of Nintendo-writers have joined forces to create the new magazine Nintendo Force!
More details to follow. I'm not sure who's spearheading the project (though Lucas Thomas signed the letter), but it's written by fans, for fans. Heck, our own TriforceBun is in on the project!
That wasn't clear, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was. I enjoyed his work, but the IGN Nintendo crew never gave him his due respect when I was an avid IGN reader.
This is really neat and I'm happy to see a few guys I already know on the panel. What I really want is a magazine that has exclusives and that's what Nintendo Power used to provide. Nintendo Direct kind of put the nail in the coffin for me which is sad.
I'm greatly looking forward to the magazine. The bits that I've taken a look at are quite nice and feel very faithful to the general style and layout of NP's later years.
Haha, Mamamia FTW! I remember once after he came back from being banned he told Matt C. he was going to found his own site that was better than IGN.... well he basically did just that with Wii Folder or Bit Block or whatever they call that shit now. Nice going Josh!
1) This is great news!!! 2) Do I get full, half, or no credit for telling people to relax, and that NP would eventually return under new ownership? 3) I'm going to react to the news of each author in NP rating style:
Aaron Kaluszka: n/a Camille Young: n/a Corbie Dillard: n/a Daan Koopman: Recommended David Oxford: n/a Evan Campbell: Recommended Jon Kay: n/a Jonathan Holmes: Recommended Josh Thomas: Recommended Kevin Cassidy: Hmmm Kevin Knezevic: n/a Lucas M. Thomas: n/a Mark Kelly: n/a Matthew Taranto: Recommended Neal Ronaghan: grumble grumble Robert Hughes: n/a
I'm not sure that I agree with their "dream team of Nintendo fans" though, as I scanned the list and didn't see a single representative from Negative World there.
...except Matt, but he isn't really representing Negative World. Though he should be...
