Nintendo Download for November 29, 2012.

Still puzzled about Ninja Gaiden on the 3DS eShop, but two titles invade the 3DS eShop and two more hop onto the DSiWare store in this week's Nintendo Download, although the Wii U eShop is curiously quiet. I suppose it gets a pass since it's just a couple of weeks old. Be sure to check all of Nintendo's digital shops at noon ET on November 29, 2012 for all of the updates!

    Why not sign up for a (free) account?

    Sweet, the 2nd Guild01 game! Looks a bit insane (luggage handling?), but I wouldn't want it any other way!

    I'm a little disappointed that the Wii U eShop hasn't been updating consistently. I've been getting excited to see the weekly Nintendo download list because of Wii U, and... nothing.

    Oh well. Nothing for me this week, I still haven't picked up Crashmo, so maybe I'll check that out.

    Talk about an empty week. Where the heck is that Rayman demo we were supposed to get at launch?

    It's quiet. Too quiet.

    I guess I should be thankful.

    I just got Crashmo a few days ago, that should hold me over until Wario Land 2 or Fluidity in December.

    Is anyone else sick of getting NES games on the 3DS VC? I haven't bought a single one, because I think it's ridiculous that retreading Wii VC games for the 3DS is an acceptable substitute for 15+ years of actual GB/C/A games.

    I'm just sick of the fact that there's no way to have them be transferable from Wii to 3DS. I'm not gonna repurchase them just cause I want to play them on the go. Hopefully this somehow changes once a better Wii U system is in place. Though can we even play VC games on the Wii U aside from going into Wii mode?

    Am I the only one buying Aero Porter? Your loss!

    @VofEscaflowne

    Hm...I wonder if they made them un-transferrable on the 3DS specifically FOR the reason of padding out the VC releases...! Well, that and more money.

    I honestly think Nintendo just doesn't understand how digital commerce stuff works, I think if they knew how to make it so you could buy a VC game once and play it on all your systems they'd do that, but right now their ecosystem is totally fractured. On the Giant Bombcast someone put it really well, they said basically think of your 3DS and your Wii U as being made by different companies, nothing transfers over, just like nothing transfers over from the 360 to the PS3, that's kind of a sad statement on the state of Nintendo's overall online strategy, but it's accurate.

    Sometimes I wonder if they shouldn't partner with Amazon or Google or someone, and let them deal with all their digital downloads, those companies already have robust servers, storefronts, DRM, cloud-storage, etc. already sorted out and ready to go. I feel like they really need help, something about their company culture just fundamentally doesn't understand the internet.

    @VofEscaflowne @TriforceBun Honestly, it's starting to feel like they're trying to kill it. GB/GBC releases on the eShop are sparse, they refuse to allow transfers of Wii VC games to the 3DS (and then trickle out the releases we already purchased on the Wii for purchase AGAIN), there is no proper Virtual Console on Wii U (outside of Wii Mode), and now they're releasing a Wii console that can't even access the Wii Shop Channel.

    (Short answer -- yes, I am sick of NES releases on 3DS. )
