Is Maru's Mission any good? Looks alright from the video. Potentially seizure inducing.

@anon_mastermind

It's... alright, from what I remember. I never owned the game, but a friend of mine did.

And yeah, it's seizure-inducing. Maybe not literally, but... potentially? Sure. Why not. That screen-flashing effect wasn't bad on the old brick Gameboy, with it's non-backlit screen and no colors. I wonder how painful it might be seeing it on the 3DS screen...?

Maru's Mission looks line something between The Legend of Kage & Alex Kid... Hum... I'll keep an eye open for the reviews.

That SOB jumps like a mother effer. The physics look bizarre lol.

Uhhh, why is no one talking about BurgerTime World Tour?

@DrFinkelstein

Yeah. Did you ever play Ninja Spirit on Virtual Console? Jumping seems pretty similar between those games.

@Mr_Mustache

Because the Wii is dead! [/Simbabbad]

Me too, but the eShop has gotten some good quantity of quality titles lately:

FreakyForms
Pushmo
Mighty Switch Force
ZEN Pinball 3D
Mutant Mudds
VVVVVV
Sakura Samurai

Not too shabby. Dillon's Rolling Western should be around the corner.

@Mr_Mustache It's been out for a few months already on the 360 and PS3; I didn't even know there was going to be a Wii version. I wonder if it's different in any way from the other versions, aside from the obvious fact that it's in SD.

Is that the 3D one? I think I've bits of that on here, actually..

You've bits of that on here? Huh?

Yeah, it's in 3D.

@X-pert74

*sigh*, "seen bits." I'm too excited about Fire Emblem Club!

(And my NCAA rosters which refuse to let me think straight until completion...I'll be a different man come Monday.)

My god the box art for Maru's Mission is terrible. Glad I am just getting it on the VC.

US:

Japan:

For the love of all that is holy, ninjas were pretty much an accepted staple of gaming at this point. Why turn it into some stupid looking '90s kid thing? Doesn't even look like the in-game graphics either.

Yeah, that's a pretty horrible change.

Well I've played through the first levels and it seems to be alright. Even if the jumping controls are a bit weird.

@chrisbg99

Yeah, the phrase "it's alright" seems to fit this game to a T.
