Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Did Ninjas have castles?

At any rate, I'll be checking out Twinbee.

Ah, I was kinda hoping for Super Mario Land 2 on the 3DS's Virtual Console! Bummer.

@GameDadGrant

Do they have it in Japan? No point in hoping for any game until they get it, it's not as if NoA is gonna take the initiative...

@Guillaume

Hey, we got Mario's Picross first. Why can't we get Super Mario Land 2 first?

I'll check out Twinbee when I get my 3DS back from NOA...again.

I'm probably gonna get TwinBee, unless someone convinces me otherwise.

I'll probably download Twinbee. I've enjoyed the two 3D Classics that I've played (Excitebike and Xevious).

@Guillaume

Well, we got it before Japan. So...yeah. My point is null, but still!

It would make sense if Nintendo were planning on releasing Mario Land 2 to tie in with Super Mario 3D Land, and they have said it'll be out by the end of the year. So obviously that makes too much sense, don't expect that to happen.

I just remembered that I had a dream about Nintendo Week.

Weird.

YEAH! Twinbee! Let's get some excitement, people!

So, yeah, I downloaded it. Very simple, but still fun. I love this series so much. Why doesn't everyone else love it as much as me?

Just played Detana yesterday, too (damn you, X-Pert!).

@Anand

Better or worse than 3D Classics: Xevious? It looks better from the trailer I saw. Xevious was fun, but the 3D really made it harder than the original.

Better how? The 3D implementation is not as good. Like when you pick up fruit on a different plane. The game itself is probably better. I think both are worth buying, but I have a weakness for both franchises.

For Urban Champion questions, though, I'll have to defer to Deathly.

I'm glad Nintendo didn't decide to keep Twinbee 3DS out of America, just because the Famicom game never made it over here. I was kind of worried it wouldn't release outside Japan.

@Anand You can do it Anand; it only took me a bunch of tries to make it to that score

Remember when Mega Man 9 came out on 9-22 a few years ago? Me, too!

@Mr_Mustache

That was an awesome day.

By the way, did you download Moto Heroz yet? You should join our online league. I know that since you avoid handhelds, there hasn't been like, a TON of stuff to play on Wii lately. For a mere fraction of what you'd pay for a retail Wii game, you can get an incredible, competitive experience and join in on the fun with fellow Negative Worlders with this game.

C'mon man. Join us. Jooooiiiinnnn uuuuuuuuussssssss!

Hey, Twinbee is pretty damn fun!

So that bee thing when you shoot the bells enough times, is that an extra life?

The damn autofire is too fast, I keep killing them.

I'm pretty certain my next download will be the free Zelda: Four Swords. Until then, I've got plenty of BIT.Trip Saga and [BACKLOG] to keep me busy.

@Guillaume
No, I'm pretty sure that the Bee will kill you. I'm not sure how many points you get for killing it, though. There's usually a point where the bells turn toxic and harmful. You can't bounce 'em forever, unfortunately. Have you also noticed that getting hit once takes away your bombs, but an ambulance will fix you up? Something like that.

I was going to turn off autofire, but I don't really want to press the 3DS's squeaky buttons super-rapidly. While playing, I just imagined how much more fun it would have been to have the tactile feedback of an arcade cabinet, though. It's so satisfying to slam arcade buttons at high speeds.

Pick up Detana Twinbee on VC, people! It's way more complex. But in a good way.

Whither, Stinger?

Stinger might be the only Twinbee game to have side-scrolling levels. Sad, since I actually prefer those. It's a trip bouncing bells vertically in a side-scrolling perspective. It's like that awesome Hogan's Alley can-shooting mini-game.

God, I love Twinbee. I love Twinbee so much that I almost bought a PSP. Why is Fantasy Zone more popular??

I want to get into Parodius, too. And I want to play the Salamander sequel. Konami's shooter franchises were poorly represented in the US.
