Coming to PSN, XBLA, Steam "could very well be for WiiWare as well".

Now, I genuinely hate High Voltage, but this game looked pretty cool. IGN says we should see more of the game at GDC this year. I'm sure they're dealing with size issues on WiiWare.

Why not? This game looked really cool back in the day. I know, it's made by HVS, but stil...

Well, it's made by High Voltage. I dunno. It didn't look that cool back in the day.

Plus there is about a 3% chance that this actually makes it to WiiWare now.

I forgot about this game. It sucks how so many games aren't coming to WiiWare now.

I was interested in this game back in 2008.

Then I saw what HVS was capable of.

No longer interested.

Es asi asi.

Also,

It could very well be for WiiWare, as well. We did some WiiWare stuff ( Gyrostarr, High Voltage Hot Rod Show) and it did okay. We didn't lose money on any of that. But I would say it wasn't encouraging enough that we would be doing a ton of stuff [on WiiWare]." - Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage

There's another vote of no confidence for WiiWare. And those games actually had some publicity. That said, I severely doubt that this game will do well on PSN/XBLA. It'll just get lost among all the Voodoo Dices. (Although that game was on WiiWare, as well.)

Yeah but those games also sucked, and I think High Voltage publicity was mostly an IGN thing, at least, with anything outside of The Conduit. I wonder how well sucky games do on XBLA/PSN? I feel like they all get lost in the mix eventually.

Developers need to accept the fact that if they don't deliver a quality product to match the hype, publicity just means a few more people jump in early on, and then 95% of those early adopters tell everyone else about how disappointing your game is.

There was actually an interview on GameScoop yesterday with a couple of High Voltage guys on Conduit 2. They basically said (with the original Conduit) that all they really wanted to do was make a good, fun game, but then hype started to build up about how it was going to be a Halo Killer and the best game ever, and they just totally lost sight of what they original wanted to do.
