Straight from Image & Form this morning, they've finally revealed the pricing point and release date. On December 10th, you'll be able to fork over your eShop credit, priced at $19.99, for this anticipated follow up to their eShop surprise hit, SteamWorld Dig. Early adopters will find a discount available until December 31, reducing that price point to $16.99 and also receive a free 3DS theme along with your purchase.

Pretty exciting news I must say. The game promises 20 to 25 hours of gameplay and even a new game + mode which is bound to keep the replayability up there. Sounds like great value whether you pick it up early or some time next year. Anyone plan on picking this up?

Yup, I am IN. I don't know too much about the game but I have faith in the devs.
It's coming at just the right time for me on 3DS and I have eShop currency just waiting for something like this. Great!

Seems like a really reasonable price point. I'm happy.
So, my take is that it's a turn based, 2D strategy game with an element of billiards. Am I on the right track?

That's the impression I had, too. It looks like something I'd enjoy, but I've got more than enough on my plate right now. Maybe in the spring or something...

I love Image and Form, they're amazing, Steamworld Dig is one of my favorite games of the past few years and I own it on 5 platforms! (why you ask, I dunno I'm crazy!)

That said... my backlog is huge right now so I might not get it right away, and even though I'm sure the 3-D effect will be cool part of me wants to opt for the HD version on Wii U or PS4 instead, the PS4 seems extra tempting because that might include a Vita version as well, and I do love that sweet sweet cross-play.

who am I kidding I'll probably buy it day one but my intentions are good!

@Super_Conzo

Yeah, sounds like you have that right on the strategy. I'm a bit worried honestly in how simple the gameplay will end up being but I have confidence they'll pull it off. The game seems to have a ton of guns and hats to collect and even power ups so it's bound to keep battles interesting.
