Year Walk sounds interesting and it's getting pretty solid reviews. It being an iPhone game first is a bit of a turn-off though, I rarely find iPhone games that compel me.

Of course we're all going to be playing Plague Knight though.

Plague of Shadows DLC and the Stella Glow demo are my go-to's this week.

Also, the AiRace games are on sale! I highly recommend them to fans of high-speed futuristic racers!

@Zero

Year Walk is AWESOME.

Don't do yourself the disservice of dismissing this game because it's mobile (a pretty antiquated stance these days). The dev has a proven track record of win. Year Walk, Device 6, Beat Sneak Bandit, just to name a few.

@New Forms Yeah but I played the other two and thought Device 6 was solid but nothing that remarkable and Beat Sneak Bandit got old after like 10 minutes.

I don't think it is antiquated to dismiss mobile games *in general* because they clearly have a development focus that does not line up with my tastes. It's ok to look at a market and not really be into the overwhelming trends of that market.

I'm definitely getting Year Walk at some point. Lots of creepy concepts in there taken straight out of the old stories people used to tell me as a kid. About the brook horse and the myling and whatever. Great stuff.

@Zero

Fair enough.

Can't blame you for not giving it a shot.

FAKE EDIT:

Oh, and Year Walk still kicks ass.

Cautiously curious about Year Walk. It looks like it's been received more favorably than Tengami on all its platforms. I'll be reading reviews to see if they did more to adapt the game to the Wii U. Tengami's appeal was almost solely found in its visuals, but the game had you look at the tablet 100% of the time. It just wasn't a good fit.

edit - Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is out today!? Awesome!

Senran Kagura 2 is out today, too! Neat.

@New Forms Hey I never said it won't get a shot, I said the legacy is a bit of a turn-off.

I have liked some phone games. Super Hexagon, for instance, worked better on my phone than my laptop and it was perfect for quick pick up and play sessions.

But yeah I have about 20 of the top rated / most hyped iPhone games now and only a small handful have kept me interested.

Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows!!!!!!! Can't wait to go home and download it!

I'm also interested in trying Legend of Legacy (what a horrible name).

@Zero

No, by giving it a shot I meant other titles from the dev.

Anyway, it's obvious that you just have poor taste in games.

@New Forms But I gave those a shot too! I actually finished Device 6, was one of the best phone games I have played but I'd still not rank it high against my favorite smaller games on other platforms.

@sirmastersephiroth

Weird that they're holding the demo back until the 22nd. I want it now!

@Zero

I think we're talking past each other.

My original "gave it a shot" statement was simply saying, "You obviously tried titles from this dev and they didn't particularly resonate with you. So no harm, no foul." Not griefing you at all.

Except for the fact that you have bad taste in games. (j/k)
