Pretty crummy that Tennis and Golf are both $5. They should really give NES games the same flexible pricing that Game Boy games have.

Seriously, though, where the fuck is Super Tennis? Eh, I probably wouldn't buy it, anyway...

It's kind of interesting how Atlus embraces the e-Shop, when their games are often the ones that become rare. I wonder how it'll affect the resale value of the physical versions (which usually have some extra tchotchkes).

I'm kind of intrigued by Aqua Moto Racing 3D.

They don't get anything when people sell their used rare games. Atlus often does reprints when they can, recently (like, less than a year ago) they even reprinted their Digital Devil Saga PS2 games, sold for $20 apiece. Putting their stuff on digital stores is much less of a pain in the ass for them.

I have no good reason to play Golf at all, ha ha.

Though it's arguable my favorite game out of those "available" in Animal Crossing is the incredibly addicting Wario's Woods. For more arcade-y action though, I gotta side with my old favorite, Donkey Kong Jr.

Kinda. "Legit" as in, I had a code I gave to Tom Nook for it. I never found it in that Animal Island mini-game. But no Action-Replay or GameShark.

I never really got the hook of the mini-game thing. It was cool to have something extra to do with the GBA, but most of my use of the Connectivity in Animal Crossing was with the e-Reader Cards, designing patterns, and occasionally "downloading" the NES games to the portable to play them on-the-go.

Yeah, I think I used the island twice. It was a nice novelty, for sure, but nowhere near as useful as the island is in New Leaf.

I used Connectivity Island all the time. Partially for tropical fruits, and such, but mostly to dig up a copy of Wario's Woods. Which I NEVER DID. Although I finally used a code generator and unlocked it recently. It's fun! But why does Nintendo always rerelease the NES version?

Well the Wii U may get some soon. Unity should be coming out of beta in the next few weeks, and some developers are waiting on that. The Ittle Dew developer specifically said this.

From what I understand, the NES/Famicom version of Wario's Woods is the one that keeps getting re-released because that was the only version that came out in Japan. The SNES version was exclusive to North America. And since Nintendo's Japan Overlords only (re)release stuff that's been in Japan...the 16-bit woods of Wario never sees a digital release.

I'm not sure if Nintendo of America can do anything about that, though. I hope they can eventually...the SNES version was actually really good, and had some unique features over the NES version.

Yeah, definitely check out SteamWorld Dig. It's pretty great. If you dig pinball, Zen Studios' StarWars Pinball is another quality release. And honestly? That Undead Bowling was more addictive than it had any right to be, IMO.

And apparently, the Escape from Zombie City game that came out today is not entirely terrible.

But hey - there's light at the end of the tunnel, too. Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is coming out soon, as well as Shovel Knight. So yeah, don't lose too much hope - there's still some good stuff coming...!

This isn't true. Both StarTropics games have never been released in Japan, and they are on the North American VC. I guess the release of the SNES Wario's Woods could still have some impact on it, but it isn't because of some set rule.

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I thought Pokemon came out Sunday. I'm on a road trip (15 hour trip, yay...) all weekend so I thought I would miss it. Now I can stay up til midnight, get it downloaded, and enjoy :)
