I'll gladly skip the first one if it's full of tutorials and puzzles for babies.

There's an "Easy" mode (fifteen puzzles), sixty normal puzzles, sixty free puzzles (won't let you know when you've made a mistake), and then an advanced mode in e1. I'm about done with all of them, and it was worth the $6 to me.

Do you have to play the Easy and Normal levels to unlock the tougher ones? At this point I know how to play picross and I'd rather not have to go through the puzzles in which you're just going through the motions.

@Guillaume In the first eShop game I believe all puzzles were available from the start -- 15 easy, 60 normal, 60 free mode, and 15 bonus puzzles.

What's wrong with free mode puzzles? Before Nintendo, that's how these were always solved. No hints. I just bought two more picross-style books off Amazon so that I can bring them with my on my camping trip. I need something fun to do that isn't electronic but still great for down time.

I dunno, I just don't enjoy them. Maybe because they are more challenging. For me, Picross is a way to unwind, not wind up. When I know if I accidentally counted wrong (and I do, often) and can correct it immediately, I don't get anxious about it. If I'm constantly concerned I might have gotten something wrong, well, that's no longer fun to me. That's math homework.

Just a personal preference!

I just bought Picross-e, but good to know that I will have more picross in the future. Can't get enough.

I REALLY wish they would incorporate an online and local multiplayer mode, though. Oh, Picross DS, you were ahead of your time...

Downloaded Picross e2 this morning and blew through the easy puzzles. They're good for a warm-up I guess, but I'm glad that there aren't many and there's no forced tutorial (as was the case with Picross e as well). I also downloaded Adventure Island for Game Boy on a whim, lol.

Good to see Kirby's Dream Land 2 is finally releasing over here (a year after Europe ) but I'll probably pass on it. Not big on Kirby games in general, and I already own the collection for Wii.
