Would you believe that I actually wanted a Genesis over a Super Nintendo because I thought this game was exclusive to the Genesis?
Think about it... me wanting a non-Nintendo console over a Nintendo one... FOR A SPORTS GAME.
My how times have changed.
Still though, it was a kickass game then and still one of the best sports games made. Before NHL '94 scoring in a hockey game seemed more luck than skill, here though... wrap-a-rounds, one timers, and straight up right left right goalie dekes made you feel truly in control.
And to finish the story... I found out the game was also on the Super Nintendo, and realized there was only one choice. Got my SNES and never looked back. I believe I made the right decision.
