A bit disappointing as a follow-up to the stunning Resident Evil 4, 5 is still pretty solid as a co-op Resident Evil game, even if certain choices fell a bit flat, like more of a focus on gun fighting in the late game. Just don't try to go it alone, your computer-controlled partner has terrible AI.
