This Game Gear title was released in 1994 as a follow-up to
Sonic Chaos. While the first few Sonic games for the Game Gear were simply ports of the Sega Master System versions, and lacked some of the elements found in the Sega Genesis games, this Game Gear-exclusive game was much larger in size than its predecessors.
Play as Sonic or Tails!
Released for
3DS Virtual Console in 2012.
