From the pages of Mad Magazine, Kemcom brings Spy vs. Spy -- and their eternal feud -- to the NES.
For play against the computer (or splitscreen with a "friend"), the White Spy and the Black Spy square off in a series of more elaborate stages. Starting first with a six room level (Level 2 has 13 rooms, for instance; each level feels like
Maniac Mansion in some respects) on the corner of Joke and Dagger St., the object is to find some sensitive materials (a suitcase, some documents, a key, a passport, and money) before exiting the stage en route to an airplane. They are hidden, so you'll have to check everything to find them. The utmost care must be taken, however, as each place where the desired objects might be could indeed be booby-trapped!
Your nemesis is looking for the same things, and no doubt setting vicious traps (bombs, springs, water above an electrified door, etc.) for you along the way. Seek out a counter (ie: an umbrella for that tricky door!), and you'll live to see another room. Should you meet face-to-face anywhere along the way, expect an intense knife fight to the death!
..But you'll be reborn seconds later after ascending to the heavens...
