Why not sign up for a (free) account?

I just downloaded it last night, and only played 1 quick round of multiplayer this morning. For basically a free game, it seems like it could be fun in small doses. Anyone else try it out yet? With my $5 in rewards points, I'll probably buy the King Kong mode.

Also of note, if you download the game you still get 60 coins on Club Nintendo.

Is King Kong mode the one where everyone teams up against a giant enemy, controlled by a player?

How much are each level?

@Guillaume I found this from a forum post so it may not be 100% accurate:

6 VS modes: $2 each
3 Monster Battles: $4 each, with My Kong on sale for $2 until 5/15/2013
Story Mission: $10

Hey, I like that! Build your own Tank! Tank! Tank! Will probably bite on My Kong for sure; my kid has been wanting to put his face on that giant monster ever since he saw it.

This is good timing. I have people over for the week-end.

I forgot to download this last night when I had people over, but we were busy with Nintendo Land and Luigi's Mansion 2.

Wait: it's FREE?? Why?

@Mr_Mustache

They adopted a F2P model, which for a game like this, is brilliant. It's a grand total of $34 for the whole game if you want it...buying one pack removes the timer, so...I may bite and get the My Kong pack.

@ludist210

Intriguing. Is it just this game, or are there more to come?

Those bastards took me for 19.95 tonight. Got story mode, Kong, and the monster levels. Oh well, piecemeal isn't a bad way to go for this one, and my kids love it.

Downloading the FREE stuff tonight. Wow, takes a while to download, eh?

I played this game at Disney World....I dunno, I thought it was kind of forgettable. Is it better on Wii U?

@PogueSquadron

Probably not. Seems VERY MUCH like a typical quarter muncher that I would have loved to play in my local arcade in the 80s.

This. A simple but fun waste of a 10 minutes here ad there. I paid the $2 for kong mode, because really, who doesn't want to see their face on a giant, robotic ape?

This is exciting. I'm definitely gonna download this. This is the free to play model I like, paying for actual content. I'll never pay money for cosmetic items or to save myself time, but I will for actual content and modes. I already have more than half the tables in Zen Pinball, so I am vulnerable to this model.

I Dl'ed the game this weekend. So far I am having a blast. I wound up purchasing the single player and I can't stop playing it. Getting additional tanks and leveling them up is very satisfying. The stages are short but sweet and the off TV play helps with the wife watching TV while I play. So far great purchase for a good price.

Just played a little last night. A fun and simple game - not sure if I will buy anything else - but it would be perfect for my 8 year old nephew.

I bit and got the My Kong add-on so the time limit would be removed (all while I bought every Zen Pinball 2 table that was on sale). Woo!

I'm so tempted to get My Kong...

Let's get some impressions up in here!
