The demo has just went live today for Switch and other platforms. Has anyone played it? I’ll reserve most of my thoughts for now but I’ll just say for now that I thought it was awesome.

It actually looks and runs well as a Switch 1 game on the Switch 2. I’m playing it handheld. I’m going to be buying this day one. This demo has sold me.

I do have to say, I was not expecting the difficulty level. I’m still getting beat by the first boss. I’ll have to continue tomorrow since I have work in the morning.

Played the demo... It has nice production values. I was thinking it played like the latest Prince of Persia. You are definitely moving more quickly then the old school Castlevania games and swinging around more like Spider-man rather than a Belmont.
It's a nice touch that you can tweak the difficulty settings to your liking - it's not just "Easy/normal/hard" but you can use sliders that adjust how much damage you give, how much you take, how fast you level up etc. I liked that. Also an option to re spawn outside boss doors.

It's a good game - I'll wait for a good sale though - or a Switch 2 version. It just looked a bit blurry to me on my TV

I enjoy the Castlevania games - but I'm not a super fan. This game felt like I was playing Hades or prince of Persia with Castlevania enemies.
