This second game in the CC series, first on the DS, is surprisingly accomplished in its 3d graphics, voice acting and controls. The storyline is in fact far more realised than the 2004 GameCube game, making that mode of the game a lot more involving than you might expect. Essentially this is a straightforward action RPG with an emphasis on cooperative battles and episodic dungeons or other themed areas.
Unfortunately despite the Wi-Fi logo on the box, online play is restricted to the sharing of painted Mog faces... there is local wireless multiplayer, however, so the game offers good value for money - especially at the bargain bucket prices it could quickly be found at.
FUN FACT: Ring of Fates explores the philosophy of making informed decisions to navigate an infinite number of possible universes, simultaneously envisioned inside a crystal, to achieve the creation of one ideal to the traveller. It also features sexually charged noogies.
