Introduces a new region, the Sinnoh region, to the Pokemon world. Features 107 new Pokemon, with a number of returning favorites from the previous entries. While the third generation of Pokemon games on the Game Boy Advance retained no backwards compatibility with the Game Boy or Game Boy Color entries, the DS games (Pearl included) let players transfer their Pokemon collected from the third generation forward into their selected DS game; provided that the 150 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex had been seen by the player.
