Fourth entry in the Fatal Frame (also known as Zero in Japan, or Project Zero in Europe) survival horror series. This game is somewhat infamous for never being released outside of Japan. This is allegedly due to the fact that some glitches in the game were discovered after release, which Nintendo (who published the game) asked Tecmo to fix, but Tecmo refused. Thus, this disagreement apparently is responsible for this game not appearing overseas, despite a printed magazine ad in Europe hinting otherwise.
Despite this Japan-only release, a group of homebrew developers created an unofficial translation patch designed to simultaneously override the Wii's regional lockout for the game, as well as translate the in-game text and subtitles into English. The patch is designed specifically for official copies of the game only, but has also itself been modified by outside parties to work with unofficial copies. Due in part to the translation patch's existence, copies of Tsukihami no Kamen remain relatively expensive online.
